Kelly

Well, Kelly came through her surgery very well. For those who did not know, Kelly is part of a study on weight loss and has lost 46 pounds in the last 5 months. In doing this she got a nasty case of gall stones. Tuesday she had her gall bladder removed along with between 75 and 100 small gall stones about 1/2 the size of a pea. Other than some risidual pain and a few small holes in her stomach she is doing great. Hope everyone is having a great week. - Buzzy

  3. CORRECTION: Kelly informed me it was 7 months not 5. Sorry for the misinformation.

  4. good grief!! What caused the insane collection of rocks in the gall bladder? It sounds so PAINFUL! Is it ok not to have one? I'm so sorry she was ill! I had no idea. I'm glad she's on the mend. Ain't you got a digital camera? Put some pictures up on dis thang!

  5. the collection was caused by a drastic change to a no fat diet. Don't ask me for the details, I can't help you. As for painful, it is. And if one of those stones should block the duct leading from the gall bladder to the intestine, it can rupture making you VERY sick and possibly causing death. You can live without it with no problem. Pictures... Kelly is a little "hinky" about putting the girl's pictures on the net... Too many predators out there for her liking. But I'll get some on here before too long.

    Hinky is not a word.

Glad Kelly is doing okay, didn't know she was ill! Send my best!

  7. I find "hinky" communicates very well, thank you.

Glad Kelly is feeling less rocky, so to speak.
